Gene Leary has 23+ yrs of law enforcement experience with the Los Angeles Police Department and throughout his career, has focused on tactics and the law, with both field and undercover assignments.  He has been the Officer In Charge of Vice Units, Special Problems Units, and Watch Commander.  Gene combines his experience with NRA certifications including;

• NRA Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun Instructor

• NRA Personal Protection In The Home Instructor

• NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor

• NRA Training Counselor for all listed disciplines

• NRA Concealed Carry Instructor

• Utah Concealed Carry Weapon Instructor

• HR-218 qualification provider for retired police officers

  

In the past 15 years, Gene has focused on instructing private citizens on self-defense, firearms, and personal protection.  He enjoys working one on one and in small groups and works with novice, beginners, intermediate, and expert level students. He continues to attend training courses, including Suarez International and is a Distinguished Graduate of Frontsight.  Gene is president of a private gun club.
